On Twitter we follow the adventures of @CumbrianBlondie (A.K.A Gina) who was attempting to complete her list of 40 new things at the age of 40. We are planning a special summer garden party for 60 community champions in Cumbria and North Lancashire, and would like our local community to get involved.
Broadcaster Eric Robson will host the event at Low Wood Bay on the shores of Windermere to celebrate our 60th anniversary.
We are marking our 60th anniversary by launching a search to find Cumbria and North Lancashire’s community heroes. We want people from across the region to nominate anyone they feel deserves special recognition for the work they do in the local community.
