Last night English Lakes picked up a national silver award for excellence in VisitEngland’s hospitality, catering and tourism Awards.
The Wild Boar secured a place at the top table at the VisitEngland Awards for Excellence 2015, coming in second position in the Tourism Pub of the Year award category.
Set in its own private woodland, The Wild Boar has its own on site microbrewery, the Brewhouse, where guests can experience real ale fermenting sessions, and a smoke house, which supplies the restaurant with meats, cheeses and fish. Its food and accommodation have received rave reviews by Jamie Oliver’s website.
The Midland created the Vintage By The Sea Festival with Morecambe born Wayne Hemingway and Lancashire based Deco Publique, initially to celebrate the hotel’s 80th anniversary. The highly popular festival is now an annual celebration of British music, fashion, film, art, dance, food and design from the last 80 years. This year’s event runs from 4-6 September 2015.
