The Wild Boar woods give a perfect backdrop to your wedding shots with 70 acres of private woodland and a Lake District tarn. With only the 2 of you (and photographer & driver in tow!) you can have the precious one on one time that’s much needed on your wedding day. We like to think that at The Wild Boar we don’t take ourselves too seriously. Take a trip in the Land Rover, get your muddy wellies on, maybe even have a go at clay pigeon shooting.

Cozy & Romantic
Autumnal & Winter Weddings are becoming more and more popular. The Wild Boar is certainly wonderful on a summer day with a lawn at the back and patio conveniently placed next to the bar. But Autumn -Winter is when The Wild Boar really comes into its own… the fairy lights and roaring open fires create a cosy, romantic atmosphere and will keep your guests toasty when it’s a little chilly outside.
Whimsical Woodland Setting
The woodland feel is still very much on trend, and rightly so. Who needs table cloths, chair covers and an 80’s red carpet?! We have the perfect, not-so-blank, canvas for a wedding. The whole Inn oozes character, you can add as little or as much as you like to this building and it will look great.

‘Foodies’ Paradise
Some might say this is number 1 reason to get married at The Wild Boar.
Let’s face it, we often just get what we are given at a wedding, and as much as that may be pleasant enough, you can’t really compare to a 3 choice hand-picked menu with steak from our onsite smoke house with triple cooked steak chips & trimmings. The grill is open so the chef’s will be cooking away in front of your guests giving a wonderful show whilst your guests eagerly await!
