Strong by Zumba is High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) driven by music. This means high intensity moves such as high knees and burpees are interchanged with lower intensity moves.
This 45 minute workout combines body weight training, muscle conditioning, cardio and plyometric training that is all in sync with music.
This means every squat, lunge and burpee is on a beat, helping you to make it to that last rep … or even 5 more.
No, there is no dancing involved. Don’t be fooled by the fact Zumba is in the name. Zumba is the company that created the workout. Strong by Zumba is all about HIIT.
Strong by Zumba is suitable for men and women of all fitness levels and abilities. The instructor will teach the ‘base’ version of the exercise however these can be modified to a lower intensity version and a ‘max’ version for those who want to further challenge themselves.
In every class you’ll burn calories while toning arms, legs, abs and glutes. It will improve all aspects of your fitness including agility, speed, balance, cardio vascular fitness and muscular strength, fat burning and muscular endurance.
Just yourself… Strong by Zumba requires no equipment. We will provide mats and towels. Just remember to bring trainers and a lot of water to stay hydrated. Workout gloves are optional for floor exercises.
