It comes from the same home as the Johnnie Walker portfolio and is their most popular single malt, with a huge following in France and Spain. As with many of these now world-class distilleries, it had a fairly humble beginning…
It seems only fitting that since The Wild Boar is holding a Glenfiddich Whisky Tasting tasting evening in October, that we should revisit Glenfiddich distillery for our Malt of the Month.
The Wild Boar stocks an impressive collection of over 110 whiskies from all over the world. This month our Master of Malt, George, ventures to South Africa for the first time and discovers a very pleasing single grain whisky.
As the Rugby World Cup is starting on the 18th September 2015, this month we are going a little further afield and heading for South Africa. We are also going for a single grain whisky rather than a single malt.
Our Master of Malt, George, stays on Islay for the second month in a row and samples his personal favourite Malt – Bunnahabhain. (more…)
