On 22nd March we hosted our annual English Lakes MRWB Awards lunch at Low Wood Bay. This was an opportunity to celebrate the superb achievements of colleagues who had excelled in their field throughout 2018.
There were seven categories of award, with over fifty shortlisted candidates. Simon Berry, Chairman and Managing Director, revealed the winners and Jonquil Doremus-Cook, company Shareholder and family member, presented the prizes.
Each winner received a bottle of Champagne and a certificate of achievement, with the recipient of the coveted MRWB Award also receiving a cash prize.
The annual MRWB Award is presented in memory of the late Michael Berry, previous English Lakes Chairman and Managing Director, and is given to the person who is deemed to have made the most significant contribution to the success of the company in the previous twelve month period.

The 2018 MRWB award went to George Harker, Maintenance Manager for English Lakes Hotels, Resorts & Venues who worked tirelessly during the redevelopment of Low Wood Bay resort, and impacted the fantastic result that we see today.
